OK Mobility exceeds in the first half of the year the levels of pre-pandemic turnover and profitability

Aug 2, 2021
  • The global mobility company invoices € 145 million so far this year, 6 % more than in the same period of 2019, and expects to close the year with € 370 million.
  • The company leads the growth of the sector in Spain in a year marked by expansion and internationalisation.

OK Mobility closes the first half of the year with a turnover of 145 million euros, which is 6 % above the figures obtained in the same period of pre-pandemic year 2019. In this way, the global mobility company exceeds the goals set for the end of June 2021, both in terms of car rental services and the revenue obtained from the sale of vehicles.

So far this year, the company’s operating margin has reached 25 million euros and an EBIT of € 7.9 MM, surpassing the levels obtained in 2019.

The good results achieved coincide with the launch earlier this year of the new OK Mobility brand with which the OK Mobility Group has encompassed its main business divisions of vehicle rental and sales. In the solutions focused on rental and mobility, the good performance in these summer months stands out, where the company is obtaining notable improvements over 2019 on the main metrics of the business, reaching the best efficiency ratios in its history.

In terms of the vehicle sale activity, the strong positioning in purchases, added to the current shortage of vehicles in the market, allow an optimal present and future profitability.

The CEO of OK Mobility, Othman Ktiri, shows his satisfaction with these results and reveals the company’s good forecasts for the end of the current financial year: “The number of bookings achieved for the coming months and the good performance of the second-hand vehicle market, together with our know-how in the automotive and tourism sectors, lead us to foresee a year-end that could be around 370 million euros of turnover, with an operating result (EBIT) that should exceed € 25 MM. Magnitudes that would be above those reached in 2019, the year before the pandemic.”

In this way, the company stars in a 2021 of expansion and internationalisation. “The new #OKontheRoad Plan is marking the scalability in the expansion of our company, always maximising profitability and efficiency, as well as our clear focus on customers and strong commitment to online sales channels”, says Ktiri.
